Weather forecasts are provided by Open-Meteo. We add hourly modeled snowfall over 24, 48 and 168 hours, then convert centimeters to inches. These predictions are not resort-reported snowfall, measured base depth, or a guarantee of skiing conditions.
The displayed window start is the beginning of the collection hour in UTC. Each total covers its stated duration from that time. Retrieval time tells you when we obtained the data, not when the weather model was issued. After 12 hours, forecasts are labeled stale and removed from totals and rankings. Unavailable data is never treated as zero snow.
Exact retrieval times and UTC forecast windows are listed below. Dashed map markers indicate forecasts that are stale or unavailable.
Our catalog has 103 distinct ski-area entries. Locations were cross-checked against named ski-area records in OpenSkiData on September 22, 2026. Forecasts use a representative ski-area map point; they do not specifically represent a summit, base station, parking lot, or snow sensor. Conditions vary with elevation and exposure. The weather provider selects a nearby model grid cell and terrain elevation.
For resorts with multiple mountains, a reference point represents only one area: Palisades Tahoe uses Olympic Valley, Sun Valley uses Bald Mountain, Loveland uses Loveland Basin, and The Summit at Snoqualmie uses Summit West. Aspen Mountain and Snowmass have separate records.

Historical parking and pass research is not used to rank forecasts. Free parking is not permission to sleep in a vehicle. Current overnight policies and pass access need separate, dated verification with the resort or land manager.
